Two days ago we had torrential downpours with thunder and lightning -- typical spring weather. This afternoon, when I finally roused myself out of bed, there was a dusting of snow on the ground. It soon melted, but by then the psychological damage was done.
In any case, I got the day off to a domestic start by portioning out for freezing some beef stock queenmomcat made yesterday. Then the two of us went our and got our groceries for the week. It snowed intermittently while we were out and after we got back, but nothing really stuck.
Despite getting up very late today, I took an afternoon nap, but not a very long one. I continued to be domestic after I got up, doing some dishes and making a chicken pot pie for dinner. (This one came out considerably better than the last one I made. Celery really does make a difference.)
It's been snowing heavily this evening, and it finally seems to be sticking, although I doubt we're in for much accumulation. Still, snow in April is kind of depressing. Time to go to bed, I think, and hope things have improved by tomorrow.
