Up early this morning for subbing, and today I was an English teacher in the high school to our south. It was a pretty easy day, and for a change I got a lot of reading done (some of the classes were working on independent study projects in the school library, so I read while they researched.) I started reading The Charmed Children of Rookskill Castle by Janet Fox, which in a middle-grade novel that I'll be reviewing for work. (I like it so far). I also read Gary Snyder's latest collection of poetry, This Present Moment (2/390). (Not his best, but still good.)
Back home afterwards, I spent the usual time online and then took a somewhat long nap. Due to bad planning, we had nothing defrosted for dinner, so we ended up getting Chinese takeaway. And now it looks like we'll be headed off for a late bedtime. I have more subbing tomorrow, so I have to be up early again. Looks like I'm going to start building up a sleep deficit again.
