Up early again for subbing this morning, and off to the middle school to our south to be a sixth-grade math teacher. I'm very used to these kids by now, and they know me, so it was a very smooth day. I covered one extra class of "skills" at the end of the day, and that was a bit loud and riotous, but not unbearably so.
Back home I spent some time online and then took a much-needed nap. How needed is indicated by the act that it ended up being four hours long. Oops. Afterwards, I made a chicken pot pie for dinner, which turned out kind of sad. We didn't have any celery, which actually makes more of a difference than you would think. And the crust was kind of saggy. Oh well. It at least was edible, which is about all I could ask.
And now we're looking at a late bedtime, despite the fact that I have to be up early to open the book store tomorrow. At least I won't be rising at the crack of dawn as I do for subbing.
