Up early again for subbing, and today I was a sixth-grade math teacher at the middle school to our south (a different math teacher from the one I was last week). The day went reasonably well, although some of the classes didn't have quite enough work to keep them busy and so they got chatty and loud at the end of the hour. It happens. I came home early because the regular teacher had planning periods a the end of the day, which is one of the nice things about subbing for sixth-grade at this particular school.
Back home, I spent some time online and then took a comparatively sort nap. Afterwards, I was domestic for little while and picked the chicken we roasted a few days ago for scraps to make a chicken pot pie out of later on. I also spent some time updating my LiveJournal, which continues to be badly behind. I eventually baked some salmon and steamed some asparagus for dinner, which went down well. And now I'm thinking of heading off to bed a bit early tonight. I'm tired, I didn't get much of a nap, and I've been busy lately. At least I don't have to be up early tomorrow, as far as I know. There's always room for that 5:00 AM phone call.
