Up early for subbing today, and off to the middle school to our south to be a seventh-grade English teacher, with one class of geography. The English classes were okay -- they were learning the Orpheus legend, although without the bit about his head floating downstream still singing after being torn apart by the Maenads -- but the geography class was pretty loud and unruly. But it always is, at least in all the times I've subbed for this teacher.
Anyways, I spent some time online back home and started some laundry before lying down for a long nap. After I woke up, I started shepherd's pie with leftover lamb from our last roast for dinner. That came out reasonably well, although I didn't cook enough potatoes to make a sufficient layer on top. Oh well. And now we're off to a late bedtime, although I have subbing again tomorrow. Some day I will catch up on my sleep, but today is not that day.
