Up just after noon, and spent some time puttering about the hotel room before heading out. queenmomcat and I walked about three block from the hotel to our new restaurant for the trip: Bohemian House. I had a sausage with lots of toppings, while queenmomcat did the best she could with a schnitzel the size of a hubcap. Add a little Czech beer, and it made for a very satisfying (and filling) lunch. We may have to go back some time for dinner.
After lunch, we made a quick stop at After-Words books, where I found a few interesting volumes, but nothing I felt compelled to buy. We then walked up to the Museum of Contemporary Art, at my request. They had several major exhibits going, including one on Pop Art (which I can take or leave), and one on Surrealism with an emphasis on Chicago connections (which I found fascinating).
We were both kind of tired by the time we got back to the hotel, so I took a short nap while queenmomcat indulged in a bubble bath. Later, we walked over to Seasons 52 for a light dinner. Then we cam back to the hotel and settled in for the evening. We've ended up staying up later than we had expected, but we'll still be in bed before midnight tonight. Which is good, as we're headed back home tomorrow.
