Either Zazu was traumatized by our absence, or she's getting braver (or both), because she came up to our bedroom last night, jumped up on the bed, and snuggled with me for a while. It was a welcome return to some older patterns.
Anyways, I got up mid-morning and spent some time shoveling the driveway before settling in for my usual computer time. In the afternoon, I drove down to see my psychiatrist for a routine check-in and update. I'm still feeling cheerful from the long weekend away, which is good. The roads on the way down and back were not very good, but I made it home safely. Still, I don't think I'll go out for a few days if I can help it.
Back home, I spent some more time online and then took a longish nap. Thankfully, given how late I slept, dinner didn't take much time to prepare. We had baked salmon with peas, which was tasty, although for whatever reason we're having trouble finding baby peas locally. Large peas are everywhere, but the two of us tend to find them very starchy. First world problems, I know.
Since dinner, I've been spending time online updating my LiveJournal, which seems to be perpetually one month behind now. Oh well. At least I'll be a few days closer to catching up by the time I go to bed tonight.
