Up early this morning for subbing, and off to the middle school to our south. Once again I was in for the seventh-grade English teacher with one geography class that I've subbed for a lot this year. The English classes did an online technology survey for the school and read quietly, and the geography classes had a practice test to work on, so it was a pretty quiet day. During the break period, I started reading another ARC for work: The Road to Little Dribbling by Bill Bryson. So a good and easy work day overall.
Back home, I spent some time online, and then it was time to take Zazu to the vet. She hid under the futon again, but this time I was able to get her out, and after some more struggle and evasion we got her into the carrier. She appears to have gained weight over the last year, which is frustrating. After all, she's already on a diet food. Maybe she'll get some more exercise this upcoming year chasing Bongo around the house.
After the vet visit, I spent some more time online and the took a very long nap indeed. In the evening, I started some laundry and then prepared waffles and bacon for dinner. I also did some dishes afterwards, which makes today one of my more productive days in recent memory. Good for me. Tomorrow, we head off to Atlanta for a Thanksgiving visit to queenmomcat's stepfather and his family. We haven't packed yet because the flight is late in the day and we'll have time in the morning to get things done. But for now, sleep.
