Up early for subbing this morning, and off to the high school to our north to take the place of one of the math teachers. As with my French assignment last week, the kids didn't have quite enough work to keep them busy all hour, so they got loud and chaotic, although not unbearable. During my break period, I started reading Symphony for the City of the Dead by M.T. Anderson. It's a young adult book about Dmitri Shostakovich and the Siege of Leningrad during the Second World War. It's another book that I'm reading for the book store, and while I find it interesting, I'm not sure who I could sell it to.
Anyways, the work day was over soon enough, and after coming back home I spent some time online and then took my traditional nap. In the evening, I picked up a subbing assignment for tomorrow -- actually the wife of the person I subbed for today. I suspect that their kids are sick and they're alternating days off to take care of them. Anyways, I went out to dinner with queenmomcat tonight for our weekly dinner date, which was nice, and since then the evening has been a quiet one. I'll be going to bed late tonight despite having to get up early tomorrow. So it goes.
