Up mid-morning, earlier in fact that I had expected, and I hit the ground running. I started some laundry, balanced the checkbook, did some meal planning for the upcoming week, and then settled in to work on updating my LiveJournal until queenmomcat got back from her daily trip to the YMCA.
In the afternoon, queenmomcat and went out grocery shopping, and after coming home and having lunch, I took a brief nap. "Brief" because I had to get up and carve a jack-o-lantern for the evening's festivities. Unfortunately, the evening turned out not to be that festive. It rained, and it was cold and raw, which means a) I couldn't keep a light going in the jack-o-lantern, and b) we got a lot fewer trick-or-treaters than usual. Last year, we went through nearly four big bags of candy, but this year -- even though I was giving out candy by the fistful -- we barely got through two. Oh well.
After we gave up on Halloween, came in, and warmed ourselves up, we made some spaghetti sauce for dinner and settled in for a quiet evening. I update my LiveJournal some more, and then wandered about the house setting the clocks back for the end of Daylight Saving Time. As a result of gaining that hour, we'll be going to bed early tonight by the clock, but at the normal time by our internal circadian rhythms.
