Up early this morning for subbing. Today, I was the seventh-grade special ed interventionist in the middle school to our south. It was a pretty easy day: most of the classes were co-taught, and the one class I had by myself was small and turned out to be quiet and studious. (In fact, one of the students in the class mentioned in wonderment near the end of the hour that this was the quietest they'd been all year.) So that went well.
Back home, I spent some time online and then took a nap, as is my usual pattern on subbing days. My nap turned out to be a pretty long one, but very restful. In the evening, I made waffles and cooked bacon for dinner, and then settled in to spend some time updating my LiveJournal, which is now something like three weeks behind. I haven't quite despaired of catching up completely some day, but that day is looking farther and farther away.
