My aunt Nina took off before I was up this morning, so I didn't really get to say goodbye, but that's fine. I hope to see her again some summer soon.
My dad got a new grill for his birthday, which was Monday. I had offered to assemble it, but it came pre-assembled. Still, I helped out in the grill's starting and heating trials. And I helped my dad get the old grill off to the dump to be recycled.
After that stop by the dump and a quick trip to the grocery store, I had lunch and then lay down for the afternoon nap I missed yesterday. I woke up much later, after the dogs had been walked, so I didn't get out into the fresh air this afternoon, but so it goes.
In the evening, I started reading Sarah Vowell's Lafayette in the Somewhat United States, which is proving fun so far. I'm reading it for work, of course, but it's a book I might have picked up on my own.
The evening has been a quiet one so far, with lots of reading and knitting going on about the house. I'll probably head off for an early bedtime very soon, which suits me just fine. Tomorrow should be a relaxing day as well. So it goes with these visits.
