Up early this morning for subbing. Today, I was an eighth-grade math teacher in the middle school to our south, with one class of U.S. history added in to the mix. It was a pretty easy day: the students spent the math classes working with an online math tutoring program, which left me with very little to do. The U.S. history class watched part of a movie, and while they were kind of chatty, it wasn't too bad. During the regular teacher's planning period, another teacher had use of his classroom, and the media center is still under construction, so I spent the hour helping out with a few things around the office. (Getting in good with the secretaries is always a good idea, not matter what work situation you find yourself in.)
Back home, I spent a little time online and then went out to run some errands. After that, it was back to the computer, where I updated my LiveJournal a few more days. For dinner, we had takeaway barbeque from our usual place, and with queenmomcat I made an apple pie from local apples. It was very tasty. Tomorrow, queenmomcat has an appointment with our doctor to assess her progress on antibiotics for the erysipelas, so we'll probably go to bed kind of early tonight.
