Up late morning, and with no medical appointments or last-minute subbing assignments to deal with, I had a reasonably productive day. After my usual morning internet time, I called and set up a time to have my molar pulled (which will happen near the end of October), and then went out to the vet and got some more diet food for Zazu. Bongo seems to like Zazu's diet food -- I keep catching him eating out of her bowl -- so we've been going through it at a quicker pace than usual.
After spending some time updating my LiveJournal, which is still woefully out of date, I got organized and finally made some pesto out of our home-grown basil. I've been putting off this task for a while for no particular reason, but today I finally got a good-sized batch all prepared and portioned out for freezing. We will have our pesto this winter one way or another. I also did some dishes before taking a break for my usual afternoon nap.
We had a tuna noodle casserole for dinner in the evening, and now we're getting ready for our usual late bedtime, although I have a subbing assignment tomorrow and really should have been in bed hours ago. Oh well. Nothing new about that.
