Up late morning and walked to work. It was actually cold enough for me to wear a jacket this morning, which is weird for late August hereabouts. In any case, I worked a noon until 8:00 PM closing shift, and it was a slow day for sales. That just means I had plenty of time to put books in purchase orders, prepare publicity posters, and the like. (I get a good laugh from people who say they'd love to work in a bookstore because they would get paid to sit around reading all day.) In the evening, the book store hosted a discussion group for Harper Lee's Go Set a Watchman, which went well although it was sparsely attended. I ended up getting a ride home from queenmomcat, and that was my day at work.
Back home, we had waffles and bacon for dinner because nothing else had really defrosted. And now I'm looking at a late bedtime. I don't have work tomorrow, but we have to be up early for queenmomcat's radiation simulation, so I need to get to bed sometime soon. It's always something.
