Up early this morning for a change, and came downstairs to find Bongo perched on top of the armoire in the living room (long story). He was not happy to see me, and he was even less happy to see Zazu come trundling down the stairs after me. I'm not sure how he got down off the armoire, but he ended up chasing Zazu back upstairs. He's started bullying her lately, which is and is not a good sign. A good sign in that it indicates he's getting more comfortable being here, but not good in that we had hoped the two cats would eventually work out their differences. We'll just have to wait and see.

I got up early because I had a 9:00 AM appointment to take my car into one of the local garages to have a bunch of work done (mostly delayed maintenance). queenmomcat drove herself down there and brought me home -- the repairs won't be finished until tomorrow, so I couldn't really wait while they worked. Back home, I finished reading Fetish (15/3,484), and then picked up another book of poetry: Roget's Illusion by Linda Bierds. Once again, I decided to read in bed, which means I fell asleep before I got very far into it.

After getting up from my nap, I went out for a late lunch with queenmomcat and then settled in to try reading Roget's Illusion again. This time I was more successful, and I actually finished the book (16/3,582) before getting sleepy again. Having spent yesterday submitting poetry and today reading poetry, maybe I'll actually spend tomorrow writing poetry. I can always hope.

In any case, in the evening, I spent some time preparing more strawberries for freezing, but that was about it for activity. I'm thinking of going to bed early again tonight, although once more I have tomorrow off and nothing in particular scheduled. Maybe some writing, as hoped for above. Maybe some more reading. We'll see.
