Up early this morning to find that Bongo has turned himself invisible. Given that Zazu did the same thin when we got her, we're not worried. He'll emerge when he's ready. After puttering about the house and even doing some dishes, queenmomcat and I headed off to meet with the surgeon who will be (hopefully) excising her breast cancer. The appointment went as well as can be expected, and a date for surgery has been set. We also spent some time with the nurse coordinator who is following queenmomcat's progress through the system here. She does a lot of work behind the scenes and is generally charged with making things flow as smoothly as possible. We think she's doing a good job so far.
After stopping for brunch and discussing the morning's appointment, we arrived back home, where I spent some time online and also put in place and turned on the upstairs air conditioner. (It's been pretty warm here lately.) Then I gathered together my things for the day and walked in to work.
I worked a noon to 8:00 PM closing shift, and it was a reasonably busy day, with a larger-than-average shipment, so I was kept on my toes. I also worked on some publicity posters for upcoming events and did some other small tasks about the store. By the end of my shift, I was felling very tired and my ankle was hurting (again), so I called queenmomcat for a ride home. Since then, it's been a quiet evening, and we'll probably be headed off to bed late. I don't have to be up early tomorrow, so that's fine.
