Up mid-morning, and feeling somewhat better, although still coughing a lot. My recovery did take a step backwards this morning, however, when I went out to mow the lawn. It really needed to be done -- in fact, it should have probably been done Sunday -- and the grass was almost too tall for our reel mower to cope with. Despite hitting the recovery inhaler pretty hard, the whole experience left me wheezing and shaking. Not great.
I came back in from the great outdoors and spent a considerable amount of time just sitting about rehydrating and recovering. After a while, I felt good enough to have some lunch and start some laundry. But then I crawled back into bed for a comparatively short, but very restful nap.
After sleeping a while, I actually had the energy and concentration to finish reading Game of Mirrors (12/3,042). It was a pretty good police procedural, and I may have to track down and read some more of the series. We'll see if the local library has any more of Camilleri's mysteries. I also ran another load of laundry and even did some dishes. But after that I felt tired enough I lay down for another short nap.
In the evening, I prepared a roast chicken with root vegetables for dinner. And that was about it for the day. Still, it was a more productive day than I've had in quite a while, and I am feeling better. Tomorrow I have subbing, but it's a half-day assignment and I don't have to be up at the crack of dawn for it. So I can get some much-needed sleep.
