Up early for me this morning, and one of the first things I did was call my doctor's office for an appointment. Thankfully, they had a slot available mid-afternoon. Ironically enough, I was actually feeling much better this morning, although I still have a wicked cough and considerable congestion. I guess staying in bed almost all day yesterday helped.

In any case, I spent some time online and then went back to bed. I briefly considered going out to mow the lawn, but I'm still pretty sick and it started raining anyways. In fact, the rain got very heavy in the early afternoon. Apparently, we did not get sufficient April showers.

After napping for a while, I got up, had some lunch, and updated my LiveJournal. Then I headed off to the doctor's office. I ended up seeing one of the practice's residents, and he diagnosed bronchitis and suggested some antibiotics. When I've had bronchitis in the past, I've also been prescribed a steroid for my lungs, but they were pretty clear this time so we forwent that. While I was waiting around to be seen, I started reading a mystery for work: Game of Mirrors by Andrea Camilleri. I should be able to finish it tomorrow, which is good, as I'm behind in my reading for the store, as usual.

I stopped by the drugstore on my way back home, but their pharmacy was jammed and my prescription wasn't ready. So I came back home and dithered about online a bit. I went back to get the antibiotics after a few hours, and after that it was a quiet evening at home. We had baked salmon and steamed asparagus for dinner, which always strikes me as being very decadent. And soon I'll be off for an early bedtime. I have tomorrow off as well, and I'll probably need it to continue recovering.
