No April Fool's jokes here. This is a prank-free journal.

I got up late this morning, but before noon, which I suppose counts as a success. I did some dishes to start the day, so I don't feel entirely unproductive. I also made a quick trip downtown to visit the book store (today is the store's sixteenth anniversary in busniess) and see if I could order some books (which I couldn't, they not being available through our distributor). So I got out a little.

queenmomcat made a major shopping run this afternoon, coming home with, among other things, some thumb drives for us to use to back up our computer files. I snagged a 16GB thumb drive, which was enough to store all the music and word processing files on my computer. queenmomcat has more on her computer than I do, so she got the 32GB thumb drive. I spent much of the rest of the afternoon marveling at how far personal computing has come in our life time. I still remember hard drives measured in megabytes being hot stuff.

Anyways, late in the afternoon I put a duck in to roast for dinner and then took a nice, long nap. By the time I was done, the duck was also, and we had it with potatoes and asparagus. Very decadent, of course. Since then, it's been a quiet evening. Today wasn't entirely wasted, I suppose, but I still don't fell that I was as productive as I could have been. I guess I almost never do.

That and my computer's the newer of the two, so it could read the 3.0 USB

Well, I ganked the 32gig USB drive for my audio/spoken word files, and the "little blue goblin" 8gig drives for my class homework and editing projects. Never knew all those ZBS files added up to so much memory.
