Up early for subbing. For the next few days, I will be the eighth-grade social studies teacher at the middle school to our south. The regular teacher -- and about half of the eight grade -- will be in Washington DC fora field trip, and my responsibility is to take care of those left behind. Those left behind proved remarkably disinclined to work and were more that a little loud, so I came home somewhat frustrated and headachy. Oh well. This is par for the course for subbing.
At home, I put in some computer time and then took a nap, which I expect will be the pattern the next two days as well. When I woke up, I put a leg of lamb in the oven to roast, which queenmomcat and I later enjoyed with potatoes. (We would have also had some spinach, but I completely forgot about it until dinner was served. Oops.) And now it's later than I should probably be up, given tomorrow's subbing assignment, but this is also par for the course.
