Up early this morning to open the book store. I walked in as usual, and put in my solo Sunday shift for the week. I started the day by shoveling last night's snow off the sidewalk, although I probably should have bothered: it was warm enough today that most of the snow would have melted on its own.
The day itself was pretty slow, but I did have some big sales, so the final numbers were about where they should have been for this time of year. Still, I did have time to do some reading, and I started the novel Will Starling by Ian Weir. I'm really enjoying it so far, although it's not the easiest book I've ever read. Of course, I do like a challenge.
I walked home again at the end of the day, although in retrospect I should have called for a ride. My ankle still hurts, although I expect it will recover overnight. Back home, I did the usual thing of spending some time online and then taking a nap. queenmomcat woke me up when she got hungry for dinner, and I prepared a quick chicken stir-fry. The rest of the evening has been quiet, and I seem once again to be awake beyond when I should have gone to bed. This seems to be becoming a trend, and not a good one. Oh well. I'll deal with it in time.
