My subbing assignment today was once again in the middle school to our south, where I was in for a seventh-grade geography teacher. Once again, it was an easy day. There was a bit of a hiccup early on, when I couldn't find the teacher's seating charts or class lists, but I eventually got the latter from the office and it was smooth sailing after that. The kids were remarkably well-behaved, which is always a plus. I finished reading Bone Map (7/1,565) during my free period, which was also a plus.
On the down side, it snowed again all during the school day. My drive home was excruciating, but I made it in one piece. I had an appointment with my doctor this afternoon to go over my latest blood tests, but as their invitation I cancelled that and put in a call to have it rescheduled. To be honest, the roads weren't awful, but they certainly weren't good, and I had no desire to drive on them.
Anyways, I spent some time back home puttering about online and then took the traditional nap. At least today I woke up from that nap to make dinner, which tonigth was roast chicken with root vegetables. The snow continues even through the evening, and most of the local districts have already cancelled school for tomorrow, so I guess I'll be getting another day off. Oh well. I have plenty to do around the house, so I'll be able to keep busy.
