Up comparatively early for me, and I had planned to run some errands this morning, but there were snow and high winds and whiteout conditions, so I hunkered down at home for the duration. Things cleared up considerably a little before noon, so I ventured out. The roads weren't great, but I managed to get all my errands done: picking up some prescriptions, getting blood drawn for my next appointment with my doctor, and buying some groceries.

After coming home and having some lunch, I headed outdoors again to shovel some snow. Although things had seemed dire in the morning, we only got about two inches of light powder, so I was able to get the driveway and sidewalk cleared relatively quickly. Back inside, I boiled some eggs for my upcoming breakfasts (mmmm . . . protein) and then tried to take a nap. I've actually started a new dosage of one of my usual medications that is supposed to be more even through the day, and it is to that I attribute the fact that I failed at napping.

About then, the snowplow came through, so I had to shovel out the end of the driveway again. I also picked up a few future subbing assignments, which is always good, especially since in one case the regular teacher asked for me specifically. Eventually, I started to get a little sleepy, and this time when I lay down for a nap, I actually drifted off to dreamland. But only for a little while.

In the evening, I made a nice, healthy pork loin with a maple-mustard sauce for dinner, and it came out pretty well. The pork was a little undercooked in places, but there was enough fully cooked meat for both queenmomcat and I to have our fill. And now I'm just puttering about online and waiting until I feel tired again. I work at the book store tomorrow, but I don't have to be there until noon, so I can afford to go to bed late tonight.
