I had a subbing assignment this morning, so I got up nice and early, but it ended up being cancelled when the school in question closed due to the weather. Basically, there was freezing rain and the roads just ended up being one big skating rink. I stayed up for a few hours to play about online, but eventually I went back to bed.
When I got up again late in the morning, it was snowing lightly, but the roads at least looked to be in better condition. I spent some more time online, and then I portioned out for freezing the stock queenmomcat made Tuesday. After that, I decided I needed to read some poetry, so I started Jay Parini's Town Life. Parini is a Vermont poet, and I though I had several of his books in my library, but apparently this, and a volume he co-edited, are the only ones. I should try to rectify that omission.
In any case, I got about halfway through the book before I had to stop and make dinner (shepherd's pie). I didn't pick up the book again after dinner as I was feeling sleepy and generally unable to concentrate. I think I'll be headed off to bed early tonight. I have a shift at the book store tomorrow, so I should get some sleep.
