Up mid-morning, although I suppose I could have slept in. My blood sugar was surprisingly high this morning, for no good reason that I could easily determine, but I went out to shovel snow from the driveway anyways. I got about halfway done before a combination of a sore back and feeling very watery brought me back inside. At least my blood sugar level had gone down. I had some lunch, then showered and get ready for the rest of the day.
My first stop this afternoon was an intake appointment with my new psychiatrist. He had lots of questions for me, but the bottom line is that I'm reasonably stable and can continue seeing him just every three months for a quick check-in and prescription renewal. I think I can get along with this new doctor, so that's all to the best. I had an appointment with my nutritionist about forty-five minutes after I finished with the psychiatrist in essentially the same building, so I sat and read a good chunk of The Winter People while waiting.
My appointment with the nutritionist went okay. I've been doing a good job of counting carbs and my blood sugar levels have been going down, but my weight loss seems to have stalled. So, the time has come to start limiting fats and calories, which is annoying but not unexpected.
I got home late in the afternoon from all of this, and I've spent my time since getting back mainly puttering about online. I did help queenmomcat make a (reasonably healthy) beef stew for dinner, but that was about it. I have a subbing assignment tomorrow, so I'm off to bed early. Good night, all.
