Up earlier than a) usual and b) expected this morning. It was still snowing out when I got up, but only lightly, and that petered out during the day. Our snow blower guy came by again this morning and cleared our driveway, which had gotten completely snowed in and plowed in overnight. I'm not sure I could have taken care of it myself, so we're grateful for his help.
I walked in to work again, noting as I did that a lot of sidewalks hadn't been cleared. The city usually sends out a little sidewalk plowing machine, but I haven't seen it yet this winter. I ended up walking to work on the roads, which was no problem, as very few people were out driving today.
I worked noon to 6:00 PM at the book store, and it was a reasonably decent day. I did some more inventory (beginning readers and books about animals), and read some more of The Winter People during down times, but I didn't get very far in the latter and only finished the former just before closing the store.
For a change, I walked home from work (didn't want to subject queenmomcat to the downtown roads, which apparently have not been plowed, and anyways my ankle was doing pretty good). Back home, I prepared a shepherd's pie for dinner, and since then I've been puttering about online, as usual. I'm thinking early to bed tonight, as I got up early this morning and haven't had a nap, but that may or may not happen. I have a solo Sunday shift at the book store tomorrow in any case, so I need to be up comparatively early.
