Up early this morning for a subbing assignment, which was not cancelled even though the weather was, to put it mildly, inclement. I was in for one of the finance/business/marketing teachers in the high school to our south, and it was a pretty good day. True, I didn't have a classroom to call my own for a home base and ended up wandering the halls with a cart for most of the day, but the students were good and I ended up spending a lot of time in the media center, which suited me just fine. I was also able to finish reading Alistair Grim's Odditorium (2/513), so I'll be able to write a review of that when I go back to work at the book store Friday.
My drive in to the school this morning was pretty harrowing, as the roads had not been plowed, but conditions were better for the drive home. Back home, I spent some time on the computer and then took a nap. This is nothing new. In the evening, queenmomcat and I went out for our weekly dinner date night, in no small part because the chicken we had thought of roasting was still partially frozen. Since then, I've been puttering about online some more, and I expect to go to bed late tonight. It looks like most of the local schools will be cancelling classes tomorrow because of the winter weather, so I don't have to worry about being woken by a 5:00 AM subbing call.
