I got up later than I would have liked this morning -- again -- but I still managed to make it to work on time. I worked another noon to 8:00 PM closing shift, and today was kind of slow, at least comparatively speaking. The shipment wasn't too large, and the few other tasks I had to do didn't take too much time. The evening, in particular, was very slow, but that's not unusual for this time of year. Early December in retail is like the calm before the storm of late December. Things will pick up next week.
I walked in this morning and actually was feeling good enough to walk home in the evening. This is progress, of a sort. Hopefully, I'll be able to keep it up later this month. I guess a lot of it depends on how much running about I do in the store during the day. Slowish day + small shipment = not much running about = ankle feels good enough to walk home. We'll see what happens when it starts getting busier.
I work tomorrow and Saturday, and then I have Sunday off. Monday I have a rare subbing assignment (rare because I have very few days off from the book store in December). Should make for some variety.
