Up late in the morning and walked in to the book store, where I worked a standard noon to 8:00 PM closing shift. It was a reasonably good day for customers, but what kept us busy was the shipment: sixteen boxes of books that arrived around 1:00 PM and took until about 5:00 PM to receive and shelve. A good number of those were special orders, too, which took a while to get all called. I guess this is just a natural consequence of having a record-breaking weekend for sales.
Things quieted down significantly in the evening, and I had almost no customers between 6:30 PM and closing time. I called queenmomcat for a ride home because my ankle was bothering me, as usual. Back home, we had a tuna noodle casserole for dinner, and now I'm thinking of going to bed early. I have tomorrow off, but it's time for me to wrestle with the government's health insurance website again, so I really should get some sleep.
