Up early this morning for an appointment with my doctor, which turned out not to be a pleasant one. My blood glucose levels have become high enough that medical intervention is called for, so I have a new pill to take and sometime soon I need to get a glucose monitor and start tracking levels at home. And my weight is up, despite my trying to be more active and eat less lately. And I got a flu shot, which will probably leave me groggy the next few days.
Back home, I spent some time online, ate lunch, and then went back to bed for a couple of hours. I woke up in time to get the mail, which included a letter from my psychiatrist telling me that he will no longer be offering outpatient psychiatric services after the end of this year. So I had to spend some time lining up a new psychiatrist. Thankfully, one of the local practices I called had openings, so I have an intake appointment in January. Equally thankfully, I'm pretty stable at the moment and have medication refills that don't run out until February.
My new black suit also arrived, and it fits. This is good, as the funeral for our neighbor is tomorrow. The visitation at the funeral home was this evening, and queenmomcat and I went to pay our respects. It was mostly family around while we were there, but the guest book had quite a few signatures in it.
Afterwards, I made a quick stir-fry for dinner, and now I'm thinking of going for an early bedtime. Today, indeed this entire week, has not being going well, and I'm hoping that eventually things will turn around. Until then, I plan to get as much sleep as a can.
