My subbing assignment today was eighth-grade U.S. history in the junior high to our north, and it was a reasonably good day. I had a few noisy students, but nothing too bad or requiring intervention from school administrators. On the other hand, I did have to watch the same, very boring, documentary about the making of the Constitution five times over. And I was asked to cover another class during the regular teacher's planning period, so I had no time to read. Oh well.
I came home to find that the Comcast repairman, who was originally scheduled for tomorrow, was able to make it to our house today. He was here for a while: apparently the problem with our cable reception is that the cable TV wires in our house were outdated, so he had to replace them all. Still, our cable is back now, a day earlier than expected.
I spent some of the afternoon playing about online, and then I lay down for what turned into a four-hour nap. I guess I needed the sleep. In any case, I baked us some salmon fro dinner after I got up, and now I'm getting ready to head back to bed again. I feel very tired this evening, and I really have to excuse for that other than the fact that it's winter and I suspect I should be hibernating.
