Woken early mid-morning today by a subbing call for the second half of the school day. I spent a little time online before heading off to the high school to our south, where I was in for the CI special ed teacher I subbed for Monday morning. It went well again, helped by the fact that I've known some of these students since they were in sixth grade. I read a little more of Six of Crows during the regular teacher's planning period, and I continue to find it reasonably enjoyable, although I doubt I'll end up finishing it. I have too many competing books to read.
Back home, I spent some more time online and started a load of laundry. I eventually also took a short nap before walking in to work at the book store for a second night of getting things ready for the holidays. My main job tonight was to price and arrange a display of leather-bound journals, a task that took a surprising amount of time. I did one or two other little things while I was there, and by the time 9:00 PM rolled around, I had done everything on my list that could reasonably be done, so I went home. I got a ride from the same coworker who drove me home last night, which was nice.
Neither queenmomcat nor I were feeling up to cooking dinner, so we just ordered in a pizza and had a quiet evening zoning out. Once again, we're headed off to a late bedtime, but at least I don't have a subbing assignment tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a book store day, which is good, as it will give me time to catch up on the tasks from last night and tonight that I haven't managed to do already. Hopefully.
