Up mid-morning, as today's subbing assignment for was the second half of the school day. I was an eighth-grade English teacher today, but I really only had one class. This is just as well, as that one class was pretty wild and I'm not sure anything I tried to teach the students actually sank in. Oh well. The next class was the regular teacher's break period, and I spent part of that taking care of a room full of sixth graders. Eventually, everyone went down to the gym for a school-wide assembly. The featured speaker was a retired NBA player, the topic was basically making good decisions and preparing yourself for the future, and the amount of Jesus talk was comparatively light for this sort of assembly. (I've attended assemblies around here that seemed more like revival meetings than pep talks. It bugs me.)
Back home, I spent the usual amount of time on the computer, and then I took a nap. (I guess yesterday was a fluke as far as naps are concerned.) Not much has happened since. I don't have any subbing assignments scheduled for tomorrow, so I'll probably go to bed late tonight and get up late in the morning.
